Arrest made in North Side homicide

PITTSBURGH – The Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Homicide Division investigated a shooting that occurred at approximately 7:58 p.m. on February 10, 2014, in the 1200 block of Woodland Avenue on Pittsburgh’s North Side.
Mr. Richard Didonato, 66, North Side, was found lying on the sidewalk at that location with at least one gunshot to the torso. He was conscious and talking with police and paramedics when they arrived at the scene. He was transported to Allegheny General Hospital in critical condition and later died at the hospital.
Members of the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested David Miklos, 53, today at 240 Kennedy Avenue on Pittsburgh’s North Side.
The task force developed information that he was staying at his sister’s residence and they found him hiding under a pile of clothing in a bedroom.  He was taken into custody without incident and transported to police headquarters for questioning.
He will be transported to the Allegheny County Jail charged with criminal homicide, robbery & VUFA – persons not to possess a firearm.
No further comment will be made on this arrest.
