Radio One, Inc. announced that Eddie Harrell, Jr. has been named Vice President/General Manager of its Cleveland radio stations.
Eddie joined the company in June 2011 as Vice President-General Manager of its radio stations in Columbus.  He has had proven success in this market and is now taking on the challenge of the Cleveland Market.
“Eddie has proven to be a leader with great community ties leading our Columbus cluster to solid performances in ratings and revenue.  I’m confident that he will continue the same leadership taking over for Jeff Wilson who will be concentrating on his regional responsibilities full time,” said Chris Wegmann, President, Radio Division.
“Beyond his outstanding contributions to Radio One, Columbus, Eddie has been recognized as one of the most reputable leaders in central Ohio’s nonprofit, civil rights, and educational institutions.  We are thrilled to see him move those talents to Northeast Ohio, where, as a Cleveland Browns season ticket holder, his drive to the games will be a lot shorter,” said Jeff Wilson, Regional Vice President.
“I am very excited to continue my career with Radio One by joining the team in Cleveland.  This team has set a high standard of excellence in all facets of user and customer experience metrics, and I’m confident we will accelerate the momentum to improve results and impact change in the communities we serve,” said Harrell.
Radio One, together with its subsidiaries, is a diversified media company that primarily targets African-American and urban consumers. The company is one of the nation’s largest radio broadcasting companies, currently owning and/or operating 55 broadcast stations located in 16 urban markets in the United States.
