Specifications Writer
Port Authority is seeking an experienced Specifications Writer to research, write, schedule and the develop of technical specifications used in the procurement of tools, parts, equipment, vehicles and services, as required by the Operations Division and other Divisions.
Job requirements include:
•Associate Degree in mechanical, electrical or related technology fields, including courses in mechanical drawing and blueprint reading.
•Minimum of five (5) years of experience in preparing technical documents including developing and writing technical specifications.
•Professional and effective communication skills.
•Demonstrated ability in the use of Windows and Microsoft Word and Excel.
•Excellent technical writing skills.
•Valid PA driver’s license.
Preferred attributes:
•Demonstrated ability in the use of Microsoft PowerPoint.
•BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering or a related technical field.
•Experience in the government procurement process.

Port Authority is seeking an experienced Benefits Administrator to assist in the coordination of the administration of Port Authority’s employee benefits programs, including group life and health insurance, pension and deferred compensation plans, and other related benefit programs. Supports the Manager of Benefits Administration by assisting in the implementation of policies, procedures and programs. Provides superior customer service on employee benefit issues.  Maintains associated records and databases.  Remit and reconcile monthly premium billings for all providers.
Job requirements include:
•BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management or related field from an accredited school.  Directly related experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
•Minimum three (3) years of professional level benefits experience.
•Knowledge and understanding of state and federal benefit laws and regulations.
•Demonstrated ability in the use of Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel.
•Professional and effective communication skills.
Preferred attributes:
•Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) professional designation.

Port Authority is seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Technician to provide engineering technical support for civil, electrical, mechanical and facilities engineers and/or Architects and others as directed by Supervisor engineer in areas of engineering and architectural design, PAAC Systems, plan preparation, design review, specification development, construction inspection and monitoring contract progress of asbuilt documents for the Operations Division.
Job requirements include:
•Associate Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Architectural Technology, or related degree from an accredited school.
•Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a facility or infrastructure inspector, and/or experience in the preparation of plans and/or specifications.
•Effective and professional written and communication skills.
•Demonstrated ability in the use of Windows and Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
•Valid PA driver’s license.
Preferred attributes:
•Experience in the use of computers for the purposes of developing and reviewing technical documents.
•Experience in inspecting and overseeing construction work.
•Experience in the use of digital cameras.
•Experience assisting engineers and/or architects with the preparation of plans and/or specifications for facility and/or infrastructure projects.
