In my travels 2014

Raise your hand if you need to get away. Ok, I see all the hands going up. I just got back from a cruise on the Ruby Princess; the destination was Turks and Caicos Island. Sounds impressive, right? The ship was beautiful and this was the first time I stayed in a suite complete with a bathtub. Anyone who cruises knows that a stand up shower is about all that you get in your typical stateroom. Our suite even had a balcony, now that was nice. The ship was large and well appointed.
When we made it to the island of Grand Turk and disembarked, I found that it was pretty much an extension of the shops on the ship and the cruise line owns that part of the island. I thought it was kind of unusual to see their flag flying over the island. I thought I was going to the part of Turks and Caicos where LisaRaye McCoy was the first lady for a minute. That was not the case. She lived on the part of the island called Providenciales and we did not get to see that. However the water was so beautiful and blue, and I experienced a few days of sun.
While I was away, I passed through Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and saw a Primanti Brothers restaurant. I understand that Primanti Brothers is quite popular there. You know that the best part of going away is coming back home and fortunately on this trip I got back home in time to walk around the Airmall at Pittsburgh International Airport. One of the items I wanted to buy while I was away was some silver jewelry. I did buy a ring on Grand Turk, but could not find the style that I desired.
What I wanted was actually right in my own back yard. There is a new store in the Airmall called Metalsmiths Sterling, when I stopped in the store it had been open for five days and it still smelled new. I saw so many items that I wanted to try on, many pieces were sterling and onyx. It is a beautiful store and if you have a trip planned anytime soon please stop in. This is the first Metalsmiths Sterling in Pittsburgh and they chose the Airmall out of many possible locations.
Some of your original stores are still there like Brookstone and Nine West. I spotted Collezioni-The Beauty Gallery and Bottega dei Sapori, which is an Italian store that sells gourmet pasta and spices.
Now to something not so sweet, but it comes along with travel. Please be careful of how and where you use your credit cards. I just got a scam email that appeared to be from a company that I have an account with. It did not address me by name, first red flag. They wanted me to click on a link and give up information. I called the company and found it was a scam. Please keep your eyes on your money and find the time for a vacation
