Ultimate Beauty Spa holds benefit concert for breast cancer survivors

The Artistree and Diva Retreats benefit concert for breast cancer survivors was held March 17 by Ultimate Beauty Spa at the Wyndham Hotel, in Oakland. The proceeds from the concert, featuring Artistree, Char Briggs, Gina Yohe and Imani Wilkerson, will go towards paying  for breast cancer survivors to attend a Diva Retreat on May 10. The program was put together by Leslie Askerneese, owner of the Ultimate Beauty Spa and founder of a non-profit organization to promote Alternative Health Care among women.

“Our Mission is to educate women in the practice and implementation of Alternative Medicine.
“The Diva Retreat’s staff is made up of a team of professional, holistic, practitioners specializing in wellness.

“Our intention is to proactively create a healthier community by educating women in Alternative Healthcare.

“These retreats are designed to encourage women to adopt a healthier lifestyle which in time, will create a positive change for the whole family,” she said in a press release.
