Fashion for the Wild
The Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium presents Fashion for the Wild from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the PPG Aquarium, One Wild Place, Highland Park. This fashion benefit supports the wildlife the conservation, exhibits and education at the zoo, and is a mixture of a wildlife-themed fashion show, trunk show and sale, silent auction and more. Kiya Tomlin is one of the many designers to be featured at the show. Every guest is encouraged to bring an accessory to be donated to the Women’s Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh. RACE Exhibition
The Carnegie Museum of Natural History presents “RACE: Are We So Different?” at 4400 Forbes Ave., Oakland. This exhibition looks at the ways science and human-history has intersected to form our understanding and beliefs about race. It explores the history of the idea of race, the changing role of science in that history and so much more. The exhibit will be displayed through Oct. 27.
