Pittsburgh police arrest fugitive wanted in Alabama murder

PITTSBURGH, PA – The Pittsburgh Bureau of Police is extraditing Andre Dunlap, 19, to Alabama where he is wanted for capital murder during a robbery on Dec. 21, 2013.
At approximately 4:15 a.m. today, Zone 1 Officers were called out for an assault at an address in the 500 block of W. North Ave. in Central Northside. Dunlap, the victim of the assault, had a head laceration and was transported to Allegheny General Hospital.
Then the arresting Officer made the extra effort to check for Dunlap’s name in the National Crime Information Center index and discovered the warrant in Alabama. Police arrested Dunlap after he received medical treatment and transported him to the Allegheny County Jail for processing.
