MAY 1—The Heinz Endowment and its African American Men and Boys Advisory Board will host A Community Conversation from 6-8 p.m. at the Hill House Association, Kaufmann Center, 1825 Centre Ave., Hill District. The topic will be “Planting Seeds of Change: The Community as a Garden” featuring Ron Finley, Urban Gardening Crusader. A panel discussion will also take place. Go Red Luncheon/Conference
MAY 2—The American Heart Association will host its Annual Go Red For Women Luncheon & Conference at 9 a.m. at the Westin Convention Center Hotel, 1000 Penn Ave., Downtown. The annual event will offer a free health fair with screenings and breakout sessions from 9 a.m.-12 p.m., followed by a heart healthy lunch and presentation featuring keynote speaker Andrea Metcalf, national healthy lifestyle expert and trainer. First Friday Fantasy
