Entrepreneur’s Growth Conference
JUNE 5—Duquesne University’s Small Business Development Center will host its 16th Annual Entrepreneur’s Growth Conference at 600 Forbes Ave., Uptown. There will be 15 different breakout workshop sessions, a Meet the Expert luncheon, a business trade show and a keynote address from Stan Sheetz, chairman of the board for Sheetz will share his story of “Finding and Celebrating Success: What I Have Learned Along the Way.” This is for entrepreneurs who are just starting out as well as those looking to grow their companies. Members’ Mixer

First Step
JUNE 6—The University of Pittsburgh Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence will host its “The First Step: Mechanics of Starting A Small Business’ from 7:30-10 a.m. at the University of Pittsburgh, Mervis Hall, Oakland. Individuals interested in starting a business will learn the basics, such as exploring the size of one’s market, what marketing tools are needed to attract customers and more. JUNE 9—Chatham University’s Center for Entrepreneurship will host an Open House from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Chatham University, the Mellon Board Room, Woodland Rd., Shadyside.
