HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) – Gov. Tom Corbett’s hitting the Pennsylvania fundraising circuit with fellow Republican and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.
The Republican Governors Association said Corbett and Christie will headline fundraisers Friday in Pittsburgh and Monday in Philadelphia.
A spokesman for the Washington, D.C.-based RGA could not immediately provide more details.
Christie is the chairman of the organization. Corbett is running for a second term as governor and his campaign is leaning heavily on the group’s financial assistance.
Corbett faces Democrat Tom Wolf in the Nov. 4 election. Early polling in the race shows Corbett far behind.
