PITTSBURGH, PA – Tuesday evening Mayor William Peduto and his top staff will meet personally with residents at the City-County Building to hear — and act upon — their ideas and concerns about city issues.
This will be the second “Mayor’s Night In” hosted by the Mayor in his offices in the City-County Building following another May 14. He and other city leaders have held  “Mayor’s Night Out” events at a city recreation center in Beltzhoover April 7, and in Perry North May 29. Similar events alternating between city communities and the Mayor’s office will be regularly scheduled through the year.
Holding the sessions reflects the Mayor’s efforts to instill transparency and accountability into City government, and follow such moves as making his daily schedule public, hiring top officials through the public Talent City process, creating a Community Affairs team that meets nightly with neighborhood groups, and creating a Bureau of Neighborhood Empowerment to focus strictly on struggling communities.
Mayor’s Office, 5th Floor, City-County Building,, 414 Grant St., Pittsburgh, Pa., 15219. 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, June 10, 2014.
