Brown Bag Luncheon
JUNE 18—Volunteers of America of Pennsylvania will host its Brown Bag Lunch from 12-1 p.m. at 1650 Main St., Pittsburgh. The topic will be “Creating Engagement Marketing Programs.” Facilitated by Autumn Edmiston, CEO of Edmiston Group. This session will reveal simple, but effective best practices to make one’s engagement marketing more effective. Also, attendees will learn about marketing activities that help small businesses achieve their goals. Reservations are required. Letters of Credit
JUNE 19—Duquesne University’s Small Business Development Center, will host its Letters of Credit Seminar from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. at the Duquesne University Power Center Ballroom, 600 Forbes Ave., Uptown. This is for companies experienced with letters of credit or who have delays or discrepancies with letters of credit. The guest speaker will be Mike Allocca, national expert and speaker on trade demonstration and payment. This will be a hands-on workshop on how to successfully negotiate a letter of credit as well as other international banking options. Registration is required.
