Special Breakfast Meeting
    JULY 7—The African American Chamber of Commerce of Western Pennsylvania will host a Special Breakfast Meeting at 8 a.m. at the Rivers Club, One Oxford Centre, 301 Grant St., Downtown. Congressman Mike Doyle, 14th District, U.S. House of Representatives will be the guest speaker and give an update on small business, it’s initiatives and what’s happening in Congress that impacts Pennsylvania. Special Workshop
    JULY 10—Volunteers of American of Pennsylvania will host a Special Workshop from 12:30-3:30 p.m. at 1650 Main St., Pittsburgh. The topic will be “Don’t Price Your Product Too high or Too low!” Elizabeth Bowers of DCKWorldwide LLC will facilitate this workshop. This workshop will include a practical lesson on basic business math with examples that one can understand and apply to their own business. First Step
    JULY 11—The University of Pittsburgh Small Business Development Center will host “The First Step: Mechanics of Starting a Small Business” from 7:30-10:30 a.m. at the University of Pittsburgh, Mervis Hall, Roberto Clemente Dr., Oakland. Experts will help attendees explore the size of their interested market and what marketing tools will be needed to attract customers, while also teaching them about business structures, access helpful resource, available funding options and more.
