THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF PITTSBURGH will receive separate sealed bids for Corrective Action for Water Infiltration/Drainage Related Deficiencies at Arlington Heights, PA-04. The construction work is estimated to begin in October 2014. The estimated values of the project are in the following ranges General Construction $180,000.00 – $265,000.00 Electrical Construction $4,200.00 – $6,000.00 Plumbing Construction $25,000.00 – $37,000.00 Mechanical Construction $3,000.00 – $4,500.00
Bid Documents will be available on or about Monday, July 7, 2014 for a non-refundable fee of $25.00 in the form of a CERTIFIED CHECK OR MONEY ORDER ONLY.  Bid Documents, including bid forms, project manual, and drawings can be picked up in person, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at:

A Pre-Bid Conference and Site Visit will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 2:00 p.m.:

A site visit will be conducted thereafter.  Bidders shall come prepared to review all aspects of the construction site necessary to prepare a bid.

THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF PITTSBURGH reserves the right to waive any informality in, or reject any and all bids.  No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF PITTSBURGH.
The Contractor will be required to comply with all applicable Equal Employment Opportunity requirements for Federally Assisted Construction Contracts. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sexual preference, handicap or national origin.

The City of Pittsburgh, in cooperation with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, will be accepting bids, through the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Electronic Construction Management System (ECMS) for the Bike Share Pittsburgh Project.  The work will consist of the procurement and installation of a public-accessible bicycle share system consisting of 50 bike share stations and 500 bicycles.  The project will also consist of the construction of concrete pads and/or sidewalk modifications to accommodate the proposed stations; application of pavement markings and delineators; and miscellaneous work.  The project limits extend throughout the City of Pittsburgh.
The construction plans and specifications can only be viewed on the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s ECMS website: www.dot14.state.pa.us/ecms, ECMS No. 102508 beginning Thursday, July 3, 2014, at 3:00 p.m. EST.
Only electronic bids will be accepted from ECMS prequalified contractors. All bidders on this project must be prequalified by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for this type of work.  The bid opening is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. EST, Thursday, July 31, 2014.  Bidders may view the bid opening at the Department of Public Works, Room 301, City-County Building, 414 Grant Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
