Vacation Bible School
AUG. 6—Second Baptist Church, 108 W. 12th Ave., Homestead. Will host its Vacation Bible School from 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. The weeklong event is for children ages 5-18 and has a theme of “As for me and my house we will serve the Lord.” This year’s program is the Jesus’ Family Reunion and will include bible lessons, crafts, games, music and lunch. Holy Convocation
AUG. 6—Pentecostal Temple COGIC, 6300 East Liberty Blvd., East Liberty, will host its annual Holy Convocation. The convention, which will run through Aug. 9, will include guest speakers such as Bishop Barbara Amos, Rev. Dr. Jamal Bryant and Pastor Brian Edmonds, along with guest musicians James Ziegler & Another Level and national recording artist Karen Clark Sheard. For more information, call 412-361-7000.
