Dawndra Jones has been named Vice President, Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer of
UPMC McKeesport.
Now in her 24th year at UPMC, Ms. Jones has held positions of increasing responsibility, having started as a staff nurse in general surgery at UPMC Shadyside.
Most recently, she was executive director of clinical operations at UPMC Mercy and has also served as Vice President of Nursing Workforce Planning, Senior Director of the UPMC Center for Nursing Excellence and Innovation, and Director of UPMC’s internal nursing agency (UPMC Vital Staffing).
Ms. Jones holds Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees from Carlow University and is expected to complete her Doctor of Nursing Practice in December 2014 from the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing.
