Bad and Worst from Steve Harvey’s Neighborhood Awards 2014 Blue Carpet

IMG_9730
When it comes to the Steve Harvey Ford Neighborhood Awards blue carpet, attendees know they have to come with their A-game because the host and co-creator of this event, Steve Harvey, is a clothing designer and fashion connoisseur, among his many talents.
Most are up to the task. Others, however, appear to have rolled out of bed and grabbed the first pair of jeans and T-shirt out of the drawer and stepped onto the blue carpet. A few definitely tried too hard to express their individuality but instead made another statements instead.
Check out the following e-pages to see what we’re talking about.
1. Comedian Lavelle Crawford (above) got ripped onstage by “Meet the Browns’” David Mann during their hilarious volley of insults back-and-forth for flossing a “Christmas bow tie” to the awards.

Shemar Moore (below, right, with fellow actor Michael Jai White): This is part of Moore’s style, to come to urban awards shows dressed like he’s going to clean out the gutter. Perhaps this is his way to tone down his persona and offset what woman say are very conspicuous good looks.
Comedian Earthquake (above right), on the other hand, looked like a blind carnival barker at the local circus. Not a good look.

We understand that skinny clothes are back in, and Roland Martin knows fashion, but this jacket button looked like it was barely hanging on or dear life. Just a trifle too small.

David Mann, right, and comedian Lavell Crawford engaged in what was arguably the funniest exchange of the evening, trading insults for each other’s choice of awards show outfits. And we have to say that it was hard to look at those leather pants, a sweater and a suit jacket in near 100 degree weather in August.

The attendee on the left needs to buy outfits in their correct size.

Do you, boo. Do you.

We applaud the two brothers for their successful foray into entrepreneurship. We cannot do the say for their choice of blue carpet wear.

He tried to match his wife’s gown. He tried. We give him that.
