On August 14, 2014, citizens across America will gather in solidarity to hold vigils and observe a moment of silence to honor victims of Police Brutality. We will peacefully assemble at over 90 vigils across the nation to share in a moment of silence and solidarity with each other. Citizens of Pittsburgh will join together outside of the City County Building to participate in this moment.
Today, we will show the world and each other that we can come together, as ONE.
Attendees are encouraged to bring signs and candles or other safe lighting devices to hold in memory. We will have guest speakers, singers and poets to express the community’s concerns; all are welcome and encouraged to participate in this vigil.
