Celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Grammy Award winning Gipsy Kings when they play Chastain Park Amphitheater on August 15. Tickets start at $35.

Atlanta Celeb Fest is to create high-quality celebrity event in order to help raise awareness of community needs in Atlanta.  Events range from a golf tournament to celebrity basketball games to an awards gala.  Entertainment from the Jacksons and Danny Glover.

The 6th Annual Bar-B-Q Festival will boast specialty barbecue animal potions from the states of Texas, Carolina, Memphis, St. Louis, or Kentucky.

National Roller Coaster Day
Six Flags will feature all of its 11 world-class roller coasters.
 
SkyView Atlanta & Noosa Yohgurt:  2-6 p.m.
Noosa Yoghurt will be visiting Atlanta to celebrate the Aussie culture with the Atlanta community.  They will pick up the tab for the first 500 people to visit the Noosa flag at the base of SkyView Atlanta.  The Noosa team will also give out samples and other fun summer swag.
 
Motley Crue with Alice Cooper
Motley Crue is celebrating their farewell tour before retiring next year and bringing along the equally legendary Alice Cooper to the Verizon Wireless Ampitheater to help them celebrate.
 
Ruggest Maniac Obstacle Race
How about a day filled with 25 epic obstacles, rockin’ music, and plenty of beer?  The race includes a 3-mile course where you’ll climb towers of shipping containers, rocket down a 50’ water slide, bounce on trampolines, crawl through underground tunnels, leap over fire, and more.  Plus, you can party with thousands of other maniacs in a day-long festival where you can ride mechanical bulls, play in adult-bouncy houses, and dance in the foam pit.
 
Decature BBQ, Blues and Bluegrass Festival
Decatur’s 14th annual BBQ, Blues, and Bluegrass Festival at Harmony Park.  BBQ from Fox Brothers, Black Tie BBQ, Williamson Brothers BBQ, and Sweet Auburn BBQ will be featured.

Piedmont Park Arts Festival
The 5th Annual Piedmont Park Arts Festival is a 2-day outdoor event featuring 250 painters, photographers, sculptors, leather and metalwork, glass blowers, jewelers, and crafters.  There will also be artist demonstrations, live acoustic music, a Street Market, children’s play area, and festival foods and beverages with healthy alternatives.
