ATLANTA — It is impossible to come in contact with Taraji P. Henson and then walk away without taking a piece of her aura with you.
The same smoldering sensuality, coupled with her unique around-the-way girl, uplifting and excitable energy that made you first fall in love with her in Baby Boy — and that’s been was on full display though her Academy Award nominated role in Curious Case of Benjamin Button and into Think Like a Man — was shooting off her persona while hosting the media preview of the upcoming No Good Deed.
The private media affair was attended by the likes of V-103 morning show host Ryan Cameron and “Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast member Todd Tucker, the husband of Kandi Burruss.
Henson’s infectious personality enveloped the Strip steakhouse in the Atlantic Station, often gesticulating prominently while explaining playing in a rare thriller opposite ladies man Idris Elba.
Her hilarious histrionics perfectly offset Will Packer’s laid-back swag. The producer, who’s had a busy year with Think Like a Man Too, Ride Along and About Last Night in addition to No Good Deed, explained to the audience before the film the rare pleasure of having a major motion picture thriller starring two African American leads and the importance of the Atlanta market in the success of his films. The co-founder of Rainforest would soon like to tackle a science fiction film.
As appreciation for the media’s appearance, we were treated to delectable cuisine and adult libations in addition to the rare intimate setting with Packer and Henson.
