Lights, Camera, Action: A fall Fantasy

aka-fall-fantasy-2014-016
WE CAME TO PARTY—Dianne Hughes, Monica Lamar, Wrenna Watson, Lauren Freeman and Elizabeth Hughes

Who got the memo? Apparently nearly 300 got the memo that there was going to be a good party on Sept. 6 at St. John Cathedral Center in Munhall.  The evening was hosted by Alpha Alpha Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. Guests were encouraged to wear their best “glam” look.  The centerpieces carried out the “Lights Camera, Action” theme; there were megaphones, movie clappers and of course movie lights. Tee Jay turned up the crowd while Roland Ford led the line dancing.
The 2014 year marks the 87th year of providing “service to all mankind” for the Alpha Alpha Omega chapter of AKA. Their dedication to youth, health, economic growth of our communities, education, empowerment of women and families, and social justice can be seen on local, regional and international levels.  The Alpha Alpha Omega chapter raised over $4,000 for community programs, the Black College Tour and scholarships via this fun evening.
