
Jesse J. McLean Jr. has joined the team at Pressley Ridge as Western Pennsylvania Executive Director. He began his role this week and will be overseeing the fiscal, operational and clinical integrity of programs in Western PA and will help to support the advancement of the organization’s mission and strategic positioning.
Prior to joining Pressley Ridge, McLean served for nearly 5 years as Executive Director of Every Child, Inc. He currently serves on the advisory committee for the Greater Pittsburgh Non-Profit Council, is a member of the national planning committee and senior leadership planning committee for the Alliance for Children and Families, and serves on the board of directors for New Hope Church.
McLean has had many honors over the past several years, including the William H. Moore Award for Excellence in Education for his development of the V.U.L.C.A.N. program, which exposes middle school students to the “college experience.” He also received the YWCA Racial Justice Award for his work with the Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Jewish Committee, has been named one of the New Pittsburgh Courier’s “50 Men of Influence” and is past Chairperson of the Penn Hills School District Diversity Committee.
McLean received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1983 and his Masters of Arts Degree in 1994 from California University of Pennsylvania. In addition to his career and community endeavors, he enjoys spending time with family, which includes his wife, Charlette, one son, Jesse J. McLean, III, daughter in law, Ashley McLean, and grandson, Jesse McLean IV.
