Diversity Weekend
    NOV. 1—Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business will host its Diversity Weekend at 5000 Forbes Ave., Oakland. This is an open house for individuals interested in enrolling in the university’s business school. This two-day event is an opportunity to increase representation of diverse students at the school and in global leadership roles as a whole. Breakfast Series
    NOV. 4—Duquesne University’s School of Leadership and Professional Advancement will host its 2014 Leadership Breakfast Series from 8-10 a.m. at Duquesne University, Power Center Ballroom, 600 Forbes Ave., Uptown. The topic will be “Successful Leadership-What Does It Take? A Candid Conversation with Leaders Around the Region.” This educational and networking event clarifies the essential relationship between the concepts of being a leader and having passion, and will offer practical implications for everyday leading, living and thriving. Business Growth Program
    NOV. 12—Chatham University’s Center for Women’s Entrepreneurship will host its My Business Growth Program from 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m. at Chatham University, Woodland Rd., Shadyside. The topic is “Marketing for Growth.” This is an entrepreneurial growth program customized for women business owners looking to strategically position their businesses for growth and expansion. Women’s Breakfast Series
    NOV. 14— Chatham University’s Center for Women’s Entrepreneurship will host its Leadership Breakfast Series from 8-9:30 a.m. at the James Laughlin Music Center, Woodland Road, Shadyside. The topic will be “Educating Consumers on the Value of Your Business: Strategies for Growth.” Carla Castagnero, co-founder of AgRecycle, will discuss how she grew her small startup into an industry leader in composting. Business Seminar
    NOV. 19—The University of Pittsburgh’s Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence will host “The Age of Context and What Does Trust Have to Do With It” from 7:30-10:30 a.m. at the University of Pittsburgh, Mervis Hall, Roberto Clemente Drive, Oakland.
