Racial Justice Awards Luncheon
OCT. 29—The YWCA of Greater Pittsburgh will host its 23rd Annual Racial Justice Awards Luncheon from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Westin Convention Center Hotel, 1000 Penn Ave., Downtown. Several local heroes will be recognized for their efforts to promote equality, freedom and justice. Community Halloween Party
OCT. 31—The Homewood-Brushton YMCA will host its Community Halloween Celebration and Re-Opening from 5-8 p.m. at 7140 Bennett St., Homewood. This will be the first event held at the facility since the electrical fire. The evening will include arts& crafts, a “Grab-for-apples” game, and pumpkin bowling. Kidney Walk
NOV. 2—The National Kidney Foundation will host the 13th Annual Pittsburgh Kidney Walk at 9 a.m. at the Pittsburgh Zoo& PPG Aquarium, 7340 Butler St., East Liberty. The walk is held each year to raise funds to fight kidney disease through prevention, advocacy and education. Bob Pompeani will be the master of ceremonies.
