Black TV Ratings for Week of October 20 – 26
It’s five weeks and still counting as ABC’s “Scandal” fans (known as gladiators) over-run the NFL’s gridiron match-ups in Black households once again. Olivia Pope beat Thursday Night Football by nearly one million Black viewers in head-to-head competition. “How To Get Away With Murder” held on to No.2 and more than 95% of the “Scandal” lead-in Black audience.
The most watched TV network in Black homes continued to be CBS, which totaled 20.1 million viewers across 13 shows. ABC was second with 12.3 million for five shows. NBC took place with 10.2 for six of its shows among the Top 25.
The total number of viewers watching the Top 25 favorite shows in Black households, according to Nielsen, was down 1.3 million from the previous week to 44.1 million.
