Workers’ Compensation
Specialist
Port Authority is seeking an experienced Workers’ Compensation Specialist to Investigate work-related injuries/disabilities by collecting and compiling information gathered from internal and external sources. Review factual evidence and prepare information necessary to determine the acceptance, denial, termination, modification or suspension of workers’ compensation benefits; provide case management from the initial filing of a claim through return to gainful employment or settlement.
Job requirements include:
8Associate Degree in Business or related field from an accredited school. Related experience may be substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis.
•Minimum of four (4) years of claims handling and investigative experience in either workers compensation or general liability in the last 10 years, including experience compiling and reviewing medical records.
•Valid PA driver’s license.
•Professional and effective communication skills.
•Demonstrated ability in the use of Windows and Word.
Preferred attributes:
•BA/BS Degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management or related field from an accredited school.
•Interviewing skills.
•Accident investigation experience.
•Ability to use Excel, Access, and Claims Management Software.

Field Mechanic

Job Responsibilities include: Maintain, diagnose, repair heavy asphalt paving equipment, order equipment repair parts utilizing a formal purchase order system, omplete service work, and Utilize laptop computer and software programs for information and diagnostic purposes

Trumbull Corporation is seeking a Surveying Crew Chief. Applicants for both jobs must have 5 – 10 years experience with AutoCAD, a knowledge of PennDOT standards, a valid driver’s license, excellent organizational & communication skills, the ability to travel out of town, and the ability to work independently. A bachelor’s degree is preferred. Position-specific requirements are as follows:
Crew Chief: must have a proficient knowledge of Trimble GPS Technology, data collectors, robotic and conventional units as well as general computer knowledge. This position manages a survey crew under the direction of the construction Project Manager. Travel will occasionally be required to sites within and outside western PA.The ideal candidate would be familiar with all surveying techniques, including but not limited to: construction staking, boundary surveying and topographic mapping. Candidates must be accomplished with AutoCAD, Carlson and Trimble Business Center.
Survey Technician: must have a general knowledge of GPS Technology, data collectors, robotic and conventional units as well as general computer knowledge. This position performs surveying tasks as directed by the Crew Chief which will include instrument operation and CAD drafting. Travel will occasionally be required to sites within and outside western PA.
