Police search for suspects in shootings

Only hours later at approximately 10:54 p.m., police received reports of a Jeep Compass with two occupants being shot at near the intersection of Mazette and Beechnut Roads in the West End. According to a release from the city Public Safety Department, as the vehicle turned onto Industrial Highway, a dark gray or silver GMC SUV pulled alongside them and the occupants began to open fire. Fortunately, neither of the occupants, a 25-year-old North Side woman and a 25-year-old West End man, was injured.
Less than two hours later at 12:38 a.m. on Nov. 10, police responded to another call of a vehicle being hit with bullets outside of a home in the 3700 block of Chartiers Avenue in the West End. No one was hit.
When asked if any of these incidents were related, Toler said, “We do not have enough information to say anything beyond what has happened.”
It was approximately four weeks ago, Oct. 11-13, when a rash of shootings took place in five city neighborhoods within three-days; leaving four dead and five injured.
