I honestly didn’t know which Steelers were going to show up for yesterday’s game. Would it be the dominant formidable Steelers or the junior varsity middle school team that played against the New York Jets last week. I assumed that it would be one or the other.
I had no idea that both teams would play on Monday night. Thankfully, the formidable team showed up in the fourth quarter and the Steelers were able to pull out a victory.
I don’t even know where to begin when discussing last night’s game. The Steelers played the Tennessee Titans on Monday, November 17, 2014. We won. That’s good. How did we win?
Well, that’s a whole different story.

At one point, the Titans were beating the Steelers convincingly. They were denying Steelers receivers, they intercepted Ben’s pass, and they were winning for the majority of the game. But the Titans were unable to control Le’Veon Bell. He was running hard all game long.
The Steelers played fairly well in the beginning of the game and then they played terribly for the next two quarters. During the third quarter, I had gotten so disgusted with the Steelers after the Titans’ Nate Washington’s 80 yard touchdown pass that I seriously thought about walking away from the game. I distinctly remember saying, is The Voice on NBC tonight? Should I catch up on my television shows?
And then the fourth quarter began and the Steelers remembered who they are. Or, maybe the Steelers remembered who the Tennessee Titans are.  They are a 2-8 team who has lost to everyone. Of course, it didn’t hurt that Le’Veon Bell was running all over the field. He was running like he was from Kenya trying to compete for the Olympics. He ran for 204 yards — an NFL high for a single game this season — and a touchdown.
“I was just able to get to the second level and make a couple of guys miss, keep my feet moving and try to get first downs and hold on to the ball,” Bell said. “That’s all I was thinking about.”
He, along with Ben Roethlisberger’s fourth quarter performance, helped the Pittsburgh Steelers win the game 27-24.
Overall, the game left a bad taste in my mouth. Even though the Steelers won the game, it was still pretty painful to watch. Now Pittsburgh (7-4) have taken sole possession of second place in the AFC North heading into the bye week. So, that’s good, I guess.
How are  the Steelers going to chase another ring if the entire city has to hold their breath, get on bended knee and pray to God that the offense and defense will actually show up to play? I simply refuse to compliment the Steelers on beating a 2-8 team. Steelers, that’s what you are supposed to do!
