Slavery to Freedom Film Series
The Senator John Heinz History Center and the Homewood Branch of the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh present the “From Slavery to Freedom” Film Series from 5:30-8 p.m. at the Homewood Library Auditorium, 7101 Hamilton Ave., Homewood. The film to be shown is “Ida B. Wells: A Passion for Justice.” This film documents the dramatic life and turbulent times of historic figure Ida B. Bridgette Perdue
The Kaufmann Center presents Bridgette Perdue in the concert “UNCOMMON” at 7 p.m. at the Kaufman Center, Elsie H. Hillman Auditorium, 1825 Centre Ave., Hill District. This show will defy the typical concert experience with its unique fusion of music, dance and live art. Bridgette Perdue will perform some of her original songs in unconventional ways.
