LGBT resources in Allegheny County

If you know a young person who identifies as LGBT or is questioning his/her sexual orientation or identity, Dr. Marshal recommends the following resources:
Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC’s Division of Adolescent Medicine has a gender and sexual development clinic. They’re a multidisciplinary team of health providers who help gay and transgender teens who are struggling with sexual orientation or gender identity issues. Persad works to improve the well-being of the LGBTQ (lesbian, gay bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning) communities, and the HIV/AIDS communities. Dreams of Hope—a local organization using the arts as a welcoming environment for teens. They help educate the public about LGBT issues. They have a summer camp (QAMP) for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and allied youths. https://www.dreamsofhope.org/; 412-361-2065
