Metro Beat…Three Christmas Eve shootings in city under investigation

HILL DISTRICT SHOOTING UNDER INVESTIGATION

PITTSBURGH, PA – Police are investigating after a shot fired call shortly after 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Hill District.

Upon arrival to a residence in the 2900 block of  White Street, Officers discovered a 45-year-old male had been shot in the arm outside of his residence.
According to the investigation, the victim was home with his adult son when three males wearing mask arrived. The son left the residence to get help.
The victim was taken to UPMC Presbyterian where he is in stable condition.
Money, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia were seen in plain view. A search warrant has been requested.
HOMEWOOD SHOOTING UNDER INVESTIGATION
PITTSBURGH, PA – Pittsburgh Police Zone 5 Officers were called to the 7400 block of N. Homewood Avenue at approximately 4:22 p.m. Wednesday for a male who had been shot.
Upon arrival, Officers found a crowd of people who were arguing. The 27-year-old victim, who had been shot once in the chest while on the sidewalk outside of an apartment building, had just dropped off his daughter. He was taken to UPMC Presbyterian where he is in critical condition.
The investigation continues.

BELTZHOOVER SHOOTING UNDER INVESTIGATION

PITTSBURGH, PA – Police are investigating after two juveniles were shot while driving near the intersection of Warrington Avenue and Craighead Street in Beltzhoover.

Both victims were shot in their right arms & are in stable condition at local hospitals. There is no description of the shooters.
