:07—A so-so, six and six Pitt Football Team met minimal expectations and still managed to showcase two of the nation’s leading players. James Conner became one of the nation’s top five running backs and should have been a Heisman Trophy candidate, and Tyler Boyd continued to show why he will be playing on Sundays.
:06—The Pittsburgh Power Arena Pro Football Team closes its doors with no time left on the clock. They certainly put out a good product. Exciting, loud, colorful and talented. But they just couldn’t get the fan numbers. Thanks Lynn Swann for the “Super” effort!
:05—Your Pittsburgh Pirates kept hope alive for yet a second season as they took on the San Fran Giants in a one game winner take all. Of course the Giants went on to win it all, so shut up about it!!!
:04—You may not think this is big, but you would if he was your son. Micah Mason, the outstanding guard at Duquesne University, lead the nation in field goal percentage and three point shooting, C’mon man that’s Big!
:03—Robert Morris Basketball coach Andy Toole, leads a battered and bruised, but aggressive eight man squad limping into the NCAA Tournament. That, Boys and Girls, is no rotation.
:02—A still to be determined Pitt Men Basketball Team starts the 2014-15 season under a cloud. Injury, player suspension, poor foul shooting and the lack of inside presence with a talented big man. Jamie Dixon will make them play defense, but I think it’s going to be a long ACC Season.
:01—Of course your Pittsburgh Steelers hold down the #1 spot and for a variety of reasons. A record breaking passing season for Big Ben. Antonio Brown becomes one of the three best receivers in the NFL. Le’Veon Bell sets the league on fire as an all-purpose running back while becoming team MVP and “Big D” found its way back to Steeler Country. Can you say seven super bowl titles?
Game Over
Happy New Year!!!!
