PITTSBURGH (AP) – Bill Cosby has canceled his Feb. 21 appearance at Pittsburgh’s Heinz Hall.
The venue, home to the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, issued a short news release Tuesday saying the show “has been canceled by mutual agreement with Cosby’s presenter and Heinz Hall management.” No specific reason was given.
The venue’s website indicated fewer than half the available tickets had been sold for the show at the 2,676-seat venue.
The 77-year-old comedian and television star has been dogged by accusations from several women that he sexually abused or harassed them, and several of his shows have been greeted by protesters after the allegations resurfaced in recent months.
Cosby has denied wrongdoing, but hasn’t addressed the allegations during performances that have not been canceled.
Refunds will be issued for tickets to the Pittsburgh show.
