Tyler Perry’s “Haves and the Have Not’s” was the most watched cable show in Black households for the third consecutive week. The original drama maintained its lead over BET’s “Being Mary Jane” with 2.6 million viewers.
Riding the popularity of its “Haves/Have Nots,” OWN also took the title of the week’s most watched cable network among Black viewers with 5.14 million for four of its shows on the Top 25. BET closely followed in second place with 4.9 million across four shows. Right on BET’s heels was VH1 with 4.9 million for three programs.
The total number of viewers for the Top 25 cable shows in black households, according to Nielsen, was up nine percent over the previous week to 28.5 million.
