Four firearms confiscated after Uptown traffic stop

PITTSBURGH, PA – Four firearms were taken from the streets after Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Zone 2 Officers stopped a 21-year-old driver in Uptown.
At approximately 7:04 p.m. February 12, 2015, Officers pulled over James Drelick after observing him fail to use a right turn signal while pulling over to the side of the road. He then stopped in the middle of the intersection.
While approaching the vehicle, the Officers detected a strong odor of burning marijuana coming from the vehicle. After Officers requested that Drelick exit the vehicle, a large vacuum sealed bag of marijuana fell out of his jacket.
During the course of the investigation, Drelick provided Officers with consent to search his Gist Street residence where they recovered the following weapons: an EAA .38 Special revolver, a Bersa Thunder 380 pistol, a Ruger LCP 380 pistol, and a WASR 10 7.62×39  rifle; along with ammunition and  drug paraphernalia.
Drelick was arrested on charges that include possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, the sale or transfer of firearms, and making a turn without signaling while driving.
