Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre Company presents the 11th Annual Theater Festival in Black and White: Multicultural Edition at the Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre Company, 937 Liberty Ave., Cultural District. The festival shines a light on Pittsburgh’s diverse communities by soliciting plays from an array of playwrights from various cultural backgrounds, all of whom have lived in the Pittsburgh area for at least two years. Citiparks presents “Pittsburgh Legacy of Leaders: Laying the Groundwork for Our Future Leaders” City of Pittsburgh Black History Month Exhibit from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at the City-County Building, 414 Grant St., Downtown. Throughout the month of February, the exhibit will showcase the accomplishments of four outstanding African Americans. They are, James Brown, director of the YMCA Lighthouse Project; Tamasia Johnson, founding director of The Pearl Club; Alichia Parker, president and founder of A PAR Educational LLC; and Ryan Scott, co-director of the Black Male Leadership Development Institute.
