PITTSBURGH (AP) – The district attorney plans to have his detectives review reports of past police activity at a Pittsburgh nightclub where a shooting injured six people over the weekend.
A spokesman for Allegheny County District Attorney Stephen Zappala Jr. says Monday’s meeting about Ivy Pittsburgh, the Strip District club in question was to be informal and no decisions will be made.
Police say one person was wounded by a bullet and five others by broken glass during the shooting about 1 a.m. Sunday.
A firearm was recovered but no arrests were made and police said no description of the shooter was available.
Zappala has suggested the nightclub could be targeted as a nuisance establishment if detectives determine police are responding to too many incidents at the location.
