Sealed bid proposals are hereby solicited for the Community College of Allegheny County, 800 Allegheny Ave­nue, Pittsburgh PA 15233 (412.237.3020) on the following items:

Proposals will be received at the Purchasing Department until Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 2:00 p.m.
Any proposals received after this deadline will be considered as “late” and will be returned unopened to the offerer.
The CCAC Purchasing Department is now publishing all bids via the CCAC website at https://www.ccac.edu/Bid-RFP_Opportunities.aspx.   It will be each vendor’s responsibility to monitor the bid activity within the given website (“Bid and RFP Opportunities”) and ensure compliance with all applicable bid documents inclusive of any issued addenda.  Failure to incorporate any applicable addenda in the final submittal may result in the rejection of your bid.

INVITATION FOR BIDS

Box 1208 Butler, Pa. 16003-1208 until 2:00 p.m. prevailing time Friday, April 17, 2015 with all bids opened at Agenda Setting meeting on Monday, April 20, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. in the Commissioners Conference Room, Fifth Floor, County Government Center, 124 West Diamond Street Butler, PA. All sealed bids must be clearly marked CDBG & DCNR Jefferson Township Laura Doerr Park Project on the outside of the envelope.
There will be a Mandatory pre-bid meeting at the Park on Friday, March 27 at 9:00 a.m. at the Ladies Auxiliary Pavilion located in the park.
A general description of the work is as follows:
Project: ADA Parking, Bleacher Improvements and Walking Trail construction as per specifications in bid package.

Paper Documents can be picked up at Widmer Engineering 806 Lincoln Place Beaver Falls PA 15010 for a nonrefundable fee of $47.17 add $10 for postage.
Each proposal shall be accompanied by a bidder’s bond, or certified check or cashier’s check, in favor of the County of Butler, in the amount of not less than ten percent.  The County of Butler reserves the right to waive any informality in and to accept or reject any and all bids or any part of any bid. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days.
Bidders must submit with their bids the non-collusion affidavit contained in the contract documents.
Prevailing wages established under the Davis-Bacon Act will apply to this contract. The contract documents contain requirements addressing prevailing labor wage rates, labor standards, nondiscrimination in hiring practices, goals for minority and female participation, MBE and WBE participation, participation by Section 3 residents and businesses and related matters.

The City of Pittsburgh’s Department of Personnel, in collaboration with Allegheny County and the Three Rivers Workforce Investment Board, has issued a Request for Proposals for organizations to manage summer youth employment programs. The deadline for proposal submission is March 30, 2015. Proposals are sought from organizations that can manage summer employment programs serving youth ages 14-21.
