1 1/2 cups diced onion
6 cloves garlic, sliced thinly
1 bell pepper, diced
2 cups tomatoes, chopped
2 cups quick oats or rolled oats
3 cups water
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp dried herbs (oregano, basil, rosemary and/or thyme)
2 Tbl canola oil or other oil
Black pepper to taste
