Wilkinsburg Community Concert
The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra presents the 12th annual Wilkinsburg Community Engagement Concert at 7 p.m. at the Wilkinsburg High School Auditorium, 747 Wallace Ave., Wilkinsburg. The theme will be “Celebrate Wilkinsburg.” Resident conductor Larry Loh will conduct the concert while Jim Cunningham of WQED-FM will serve as the guest host. August Wilson’s Women
Friends of the August Wilson Center presents “August Wilson’s Women: A celebration, collage of words, music and dance” at 8 p.m. at the August Wilson Center, 980 Liberty Ave., Cultural District. There will be special performances by the Geri Allen Quartet, the Greer Reed Dancers and more, as well as a panel discussion by August Wilson experts. Reservations are requested by April 24. Live Jazz

Every Wednesday night local artists, many from the Pittsburgh Jazz Society’s Hall of Fame, will perform. There will be a Jimmy G’s jazz buffet and more. This event is free and open to the public.
