Plant Operator
The Municipal Authority of the City of McKeesport is seeking a Full-time Plant Operator for a 22 MGD Wastewater Treatment Plant. All interested applicants must possess a Class A-1 Wastewater Certification, a valid PA Drivers License, and have residence in the City of McKeesport (or willing to move into the city within one year). Enforcement
Borough of Wilkinsburg
The Borough of Wilkinsburg is seeking a Director of Code Enforcement to manage the code enforcement, planning, zoning and community development functions of the municipality. This is a highly responsible, professional position.  While primarily administrative in nature, the position also requires the Director to perform work in the field. The Director of Code Enforcement directs and supervises the activities of all code enforcement personnel. A minimum of five years’ progressively responsible experience as a management level employee, preferably in municipal management, building industry or code enforcement, is required. Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, public administration, urban planning or related field from an accredited college or university is required. Must possess and maintain a valid PA Motor Vehicle License.  Building Code Official certification preferred. Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission (SPC) seeks full time Development Specialist / Water Resource Planner to develop, implement, and administer community & economic development related programs, with an emphasis on water resource planning and stormwater management. Requires experience in program management, water resource planning and knowledge of public sector regional planning, municipal governments and state & federal grant research & management.
Requires exceptional communication, organizational, analytical and database/computer skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple economic development projects and work with federal and state officials on a regular basis.
Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Public Administration, Environmental Biology or closely related field plus 3 – 5 years community/economic development experience preferred.

The Borough of Wilkinsburg is seeking a fulltime, experienced general accountant who possesses the financial and leadership skills to develop, document, and implement financial practices to support Borough operations, and key financial analysis and reporting. General duties include: accurate and timely maintenance of general accounts; bank reconciliations; cash flow analysis; monthly and year-end reports; support for departmental budgeting; supervision and overview of accounting clerk functions, including payroll, in the absence of the Finance Director; and other duties as assigned.
This is a growth position that reports directly to the Finance Director. Essential qualifications include: BS in Accounting or Business Management; advanced Excel skills; experience with Freedom Systems or similar accounting and reporting software; minimum of three years’ experience in municipal government, finance, investments, and with grant accounting policies and procedures; and strong interpersonal skills.
