
Women’s Business Breakfast Series
MAY 8—Chatham University’s Center for Women’s Entrepreneurship will host its Women’s Business Leaders Breakfast Series from 8-9:30 a.m. at Chatham University, James Laughlin Music Hall, Woodland Rd., Shadyside. Tacy M. Byham, PhD, senior vice president of DDI, will speak on the topic, “Lead Like a Girl.” She will discuss one’s funding strength and the leader within, exploring the confidence gap, identifying one’s personal wake-up call, and how to super power one’s network. Business Opportunity Fair
MAY 13—The Eastern Minority Supplier Development Council will host its 2015 Business Opportunity Fair from 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at the Monroeville Convention Center, 209 Mall Blvd., Monroeville. The theme is “Connecting Relationships, Building Bridges, Gaining Wins.” This is an opportunity for certified MBEs and corporate purchasing representatives to network in an open forum. Besides developing new business relationships, it will also allow attendees to gain a better understanding of the needs of customers, and identify key areas of growth and prospects for strategic partnerships. Entrepreneur’s Growth Conference
MAY 15—The Duquesne University Small Business Development Center will host its Entrepreneur’s Growth Conference 2015 from 8:30 a.m.-4:15 p.m. at Duquesne University, 600 Forbes Ave., Uptown. This is a premier networking and informational event for Western Pennsylvania small businesses. There are more than 400 small business managers and owners that are expected to attend.
