ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — In the “you’ve-got-to-be-kidding me” news of the year, Central Florida parents would reward their teenage daughters cocaine and marijuana when went to school and did household chores as told, authorities reported.Chad and Joey Mudd, used “bargaining tools” cocaine and weed for their children, ages 13 and 14, Pinellas County Sheriff’s detectives said. They were arrested Monday.
According to an affidavit, the mother said she smoked pot with her daughters five times and the father snorted cocaine with the teens and one of his daughter’s boyfriends in his truck.
Chad Mudd, 36, who worked at an area beach bar, was charged with six counts of child abuse and one count of possession of cocaine.
Joey Mudd, 34, was charged with two counts of child abuse. Arrest records say she works at a pediatrician’s office.
Joey and Chad Mudd were booked into the local county jail and released on bond. No word if the couple retained legal representation.
As for the children, it has not been revealed who now has custody of the children.
