Despite more NBA games on chart, Top 25 cable audience falls from previous week

The NBA boosted its dominance over cable TV viewing in black households when compared to the previous week. Basketball-related programming captured 15 slots on the Top 25 chart, with a 20.1 million Black viewers. That’s up from the 12.4 million and 12 chart positions. Despite that popularity, non-NBA programs claimed the first four spot on the chart.
TNT, not surprisingly, was the most watched cable network among the Top 25, with 11.6 million watching 10 NBA-related shows. VH1 was second with 6.8 million across four of its offerings, while Bravo had 4.7 million for four programs.
