PNC Spring Hat Luncheon in Riverview Park

The first Saturday in May is Kentucky Derby day and it is a day when the crowd turns out in hats from the conservative to the outrageous.

Kentucky doesn’t have anything on Pittsburgh. On May 2, which also was the first Saturday in May, the PNC Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy held their 17th Annual Spring Hat Luncheon in Riverview Park.

FIRST TIMERS PLUS ONE—Tanya Barker, Hat Luncheon veteran, with first timers Nicole Whitlow, Dawn Hach and Natalie Hall.

More than 500 women and a few fashionable gents attended the popular luncheon.

The Hat Luncheon has raised over $6.5 million since 1999 making restoration in Pittsburgh parks possible.

Since the inception of the luncheon, more than 10,600 people have attended and supported the events.
