Keke Palmer honored at Atlanta Urban League’s ‘Spirit of the League’ awards gala

Keke Palmer was honored by the Atlanta Urban League on Friday, May 29 at the Spirit of the League Awards Luncheon. She received the Spirit of the League Champion Award for her philanthropy work with several charities.IMG_4297
Other honorees – all youth and young adults enrolled in the ULGA Urban Youth Empowerment Program – were recognized for their outstanding accomplishments in the Youth Services Division include: Jovan Gay, Rontavious Stovall, Adrecus Culbreath,     Hancy Aldeclat     and Domence Flannigan.       WSB TV 2 Reporter Erica Byfield was the mistress of ceremonies and teen jazz band “Fusion” will provide pre-luncheon music. The Tri-City High School band performed.

Most recently, it was announced that Palmer (“Scream Queens”, “Masters of Sex”) will be joining the cast of GREASE: LIVE as the sassy, Pink Lady “Marty Maraschino.” The show is set to air on Fox in January. Palmer is also set to star in Ryan Murphy’s highly anticipated anthropology, Scream Queens – premiering this fall on Fox.
