Pittsburgh Councilman Rev. Ricky Burgess thanks supporters that came out in support of him after his City Council victory, May 19. The victory celebration was held in the basement of the Nazarene Baptist Church.
With 2,069 votes, Burgess easily defeated the split challenge mounted by Andre Young, 1,237 votes, Judy Ginyard, 837 votes, and Twanda Carlisle, with 436 in Distrct 9.
