JazzLive International Festival
The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust presents the 5th Annual JazzLive International Festival. The three-day event, which runs through June 21, will feature world-class jazz, renowned musicians and an eclectic array of artists in a variety of spaces and venues throughout the Cultural District. The Big City Line Dance
The Dignity & Respect Campaign presents The Big City Line Dance at 4 p.m. at Ninth and Penn Avenues, in the Cultural District. The Big City Line Dance is a project of the Campaign’s “Take a Healthy Step” initiative and is part of the Pittsburgh JazzLive International Festival. There will be performances of the D&R Hustle and First Lady Michelle Obama’s “Uptown Funk” dance. Riverview Jazz
Citiparks presents the Riverview Jazz Series from 7-8:30 p.m. at Riverview Park, North Side. Each Saturday, guests can beat the summer heat with the cool sounds of some of Pittsburgh’s best jazz musicians. The featured musician will be Yoko Suzuki. The concerts are free. Out of Many, One People
The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust presents “Out of Many, One People” with Tamara Natalie Madden at 709 Penn Gallery, 709 Penn Ave., Cultural District. This exhibition is an exploration of the vast cultural heritage of Jamaica. It explores Black as a singular racial distinction and challenges a monolithic notion that does not account for the many races inherent in the bloodline. This is the last showing of the exhibit.
