It’s not summer without a White Party. On June 5, at the Penn Hills Comfort Inn, the Pittsburgh Council of Men held their annual spring/summer dance. With Larry Victum as president and Clayton Robinson as vice president, this group of mature men continues to host multiple events each year, typically a dinner dance in the fall and spring. The well-planned events focus on having a good time while mixing and mingling, and recognizing community members.

During the spring dance, PCM recognized Marcia Scott of the Citiparks Homewood Senior Center and presented her with a  $500 check for being one of the most active centers in the area. Scott says the 60 and over crowd that attends the Homewood Senior Center likes to play cards, line dance, socialize, enjoy good meals and stay active.

The Pittsburgh Council of Men was founded in May of 1972 by the late Fred Gladney Sr. and Algia Gary Jr.
