Perry’s “Blue Steel” defense celebrates
25 years of unparalleled success

Over the years, we have seen our fair share of David beating Goliath. Upsets are going to happen, and the best thing about them is they occur when you least expect it and these are some of the greatest moments in sports history.

When Rahmon Hart PhD was in junior high school, he looked up to Perry High School stars Darrelle Porter, Ricky Cannon, Mike Ragin, and Bobby Goodwine, hoping to one day be in their shoes.

Hart took that step years down the road by filling baskets and scoring touchdowns, all while becoming the latest in a long line of Perry High greats.

After a stellar senior season on the basketball court and football field capped a tremendous high school career for Hart, and because of that he was named the 1989 City League High School Football Player of the Year.
